The second phase of kit and equipment distribution to lower division clubs by the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has kicked off with Luapula Province members receiving their allocation.
FAZ General Secretary Adrian Kashala who handed over the equipment at Mansa Lodge, said the Association was committed to supporting lower division clubs with footballs and kit.
The equipment comprises five footballs and a set of jerseys for all Division Two and Three clubs.
Kashala said FAZ was aware of the challenges that lower division clubs faced with sponsorship and hoped that the support would help ease their problems.
All the 10 provinces will benefit from the kit and equipment support that is being done for the second time.
And Kashala said that lower division fixtures had also been streamed into two to avoid clogging fixtures in the transition league.
He said that FAZ had responded to the cries by lower division clubs that cited the short period from January to May for the transition period.
FAZ is also overseeing provincial assemblies that are selecting delegates to the 2019 FAZ Annual General Meeting that will be held on April 13.
The FAZ team led by vice president Rix Mweemba and Kashala is currently in Kasama and will head to Muchinga Province for a Sunday meeting.
